Bespoke garden design for country houses across Yorkshire

Gregson-Brown Design is a bespoke garden design studio working on large gardens for country houses and substantial homes across Yorkshire, the North East, and the East Midlands. We take on a small number of commissions each year, working alongside architects, landscape contractors, and clients from concept through to completion.

Each project is designed in response to the property it belongs to and the landscape it sits within. Our work is rooted in naturalistic planting, considered hard landscaping, and a careful reading of site and setting. Every garden is drawn in detail and delivered with care, whether that means a single considered space or a multi-zone scheme shaped around country house grounds.

Based in North Yorkshire, the studio works across the wider north of England and down into the East Midlands, taking on projects from Northumberland to Nottinghamshire. Each garden begins with a proper understanding of the site, the house, and how the owners want to live in the space. The design develops from there, shaped by the architecture, the landscape, and the horticultural possibilities of the ground it grows from.
